Dear New Association Member:

On behalf of the Sourdough Point Owners Association Board of Directors and the other homeowners of Sourdough Point, we would like to welcome you to our community. Congratulations on the purchase of your Sourdough property! Over the coming months we look forward to meeting you whether it be walking down the streets, at the Island, or at a community activity.

Some quick facts about SPOA. We are governed by a volunteer-based Board of Directors who are elected to oversee the daily functions and financial responsibilities. The Board is also responsible for maintaining members’ compliance with the established covenants and bylaws. Please take the time to read through and familiarize the Bylaws and Covenants documents you received during the home purchase process. Copies are available on the community web site.

Our channels of communication include this site, email: [email protected], our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/groups/Sourdough.Point and Nextdoor.com. We send out periodic emails about upcoming activities and events, announcements, board minutes and a quarterly newsletter. Our website is the best resource to answer most of your questions. If you don’t find the information you need there, the Board of Directors can be contacted through their personal email. Hard copies of documents are available upon request. There is a Member’s Only section on the site that is easy to set up to access documents, directory and calendar.

As you can see, communication is important to us so please make sure we have your current contact information. We need your physical address, email addresses and phone numbers. This information will be placed in our community directory which you will receive as a digital copy so you can contact neighbors and board members.

As a new property owner, you may already have some ideas on how you’d like to improve your property. Please keep in mind, the Association has an Architectural Review Committee to help maintain the quality of our neighborhood and to ensure compliance with all Covenants and Bylaws
